Is really a killer?

Here's some evidence:

I brought home most of Ebenezer last evening (minus um, you know). He stayed in with Sparkey overnight--totally taking over Sparkey's blanket lined box. The experience doesn't seem to have affected his interest in our attention--he still likes to be petted even if he's still a bit scared. He was confirmed disease free and has his vaccinations. He's also missing a bit of his left ear. That tells authorities he's being taken care of. Everybody here is glad yesterday is over.

With a bit of work we managed to get Neezer into the trap. He complained most of the way to the clinic. He was actually quiet once we took him in. I think he was shocked. The place is a cage-free, no-kill shelter so there are cats roaming around everywhere. Several stopped to give Neezer a sniff.

Now we're waiting for the second hurdle--a clean bill of health.

Experience suggests he'll be a bit out of it for the ride home so hopefully that won't be traumatic. We'll be keeping he and Sparkey on the back porch overnight to make sure there are no problems. Hopefully they'll be okay with this.

Yesterday did, in fact, go much better than the day before but it didn't have to try hard. The mechanics got the car done yesterday, which makes me happy since I hate being without a car.

However, tomorrow, something mighty good will have to happen to get it to rise above suck. We have to get up early, trap Ebenezer, and take him in for neutering. Nobody will be happy about this event. I know its for his own good but I can't be happy when any of my cats are scared. So wish us luck that this all works smoothly.
